Target and Industrial Design

The Target retail chain is another one of those companies that gets "it".

Industrial design, which originated from the Arts and Crafts movement, has helped to define the Target brand and differentiate it from competitors for quite a while now. Enlisting famous architects and designers to create mundane, everyday items was brilliant and allowed Target to offer some exclusive merchandise at a premium to help offset the low-profit-margin it receives from selling commodities elsewhere in the store.

I can seriously say I enjoy shopping there.
